Learning Teaching by Reading Tesol Journals

Reading is good for language learning. So is for teaching competence improvement. Years ago, I just read language teaching journals for essay writing. Now I find myself enjoy reading books, articles and journals on TESOL topics more and more. Not for academic purposes, but for true passion towards language teaching. I enjoy thinking about TESOL issues more often.

Then, what I should do from now on is to read as many journals and books as possible. It will help broaden my horizon and deepen my insight thinking. If it is possible, I might give it a shot to translate some great essays which can be helpful to all the other teachers, especially those who cannot read English. It is "a stone with two birds".

However, in order to make the most of journal reading and translating, I need to read with a critical mind. I should always reflect on the teaching practices and ask the five W's questions to help sort out useful information from the articles.  And then to combine the theories with teaching practices to testify whether the information in the journals worth trying in the classes.

Reading is great. Reading is an enjoyment. Reading is the most happy time for me. I'll keep reading.
