    《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》是卡尔爷爷最著名的作品，讲述了一只毛毛虫变成蝴蝶的故事。三十多年来，这条从卡尔爷爷手里爬出来的红脑壳、绿身子、高高地弓起来走路的毛毛虫，已经“吞噬”了世界上二千多万个孩子的心。这是一本充满了诗情与创意的图画书。

      今天约了小朋友来场绘本实践活动吧！  Warm up环节大家一起来唱《Sunday Monday Tuesday》

封面

      开始讲故事了！根据封面制造悬念和情景联结。提前准备了一个毛毛虫的小玩具，提高孩子兴趣。指着封面问Who is this? Wow! It’s a Caterpillar! 拿出玩具， 引导孩子摸一摸并跟毛毛虫打个招呼: hello, Caterpillar! 并引导说出毛毛虫身体的颜色、特征。我的毛毛虫和书上的毛毛虫有什么异同？

我的道具

      第一遍讲让让孩子对这本书感兴趣！通过绘声绘色的演绎，加上实物道具、让孩子看得到、摸得着，并吃得到! 顺便学会几种水果的名称。因为我的绘本有点袖珍，毛毛虫道具自然做得也有点小。

      第二遍讲的时候，重复演绎，把重点放在数数上，星期几，结合我们开场唱的儿歌，让孩子们参与进来，看看宝贝们记住多少？

      第三遍引导孩子们自己把毛毛虫故事再复述一遍，可以把重点放在几样常见的甜点英文单词上，这样3遍讲完，孩子们已经记住了大部分内容。

      故事讲完了，提问环节，通过提问把故事再回顾一下：

- What is this story about? This story is about the Caterpillar.

- What was Caterpillar going to do? Gulu, gulu...... The Caterpillar was hungry! Was he going to find some food?

What’s this little dot on the tree leaves?

In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf.

Where did Caterpillar come from?

The Caterpillar come from the little egg.

How many pears did caterpillar eat through? Yes, There were two pears!

So, what else could he find for his big stomach？On Saturday....... wow! so many sweats and snack!  He ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one icecream cone.....

What was caterpillar going to do ?  Yes, the next day was Sunday again. The Caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better. Was caterpillar still hungry? No, he was not hungry anymore！Was he still a little caterpillar? No! now he wasn't hungry anymore, and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more. He was a big, fat caterpillar.

Where was the caterpillar? Oh, the caterpillar was disappeared! Aaahh! He built a smalll house called a coccon, around himself.

What was he doing in the cocoon? Yes, he was sleeping in the cocoon! He stayed inside for more than two weeks.

What did the Caterpillar become at last?

He became a beautiful butterfly.

      最后一个环节可以跟小朋友做些拓展手工。这本经典作品可以推荐的手工简直太多了，如手指画做毛毛虫，手工毛毛虫，或用黄瓜切片摆成毛毛虫，还可以用布贴画做毛毛虫，可以用不同颜色的彩色纸盘做毛毛虫，可以用涉及的水果做水果拼盘，因为小朋友们明天还要上学没时间做手工了，就把任务布置给她们自己回家做了。下一次期待小朋友们的精彩作品！
