What are Fintech apps?
Fintech apps are classified into 4 categories:
A. Lending
Companies use fintech technologies to provide loan opportunities. Loan tenor has to becompliant with facebook's standard and not to be cash advanced.
B. Investment
Fintech services ranging from equities, fixed income, foreign exchanges, and commoditiestrading and data subscriptions.
C. Payments & Wallets
e-payments and e-wallets that allow consumers to transfer or pay money easy online.
D. Cryptocurrency
There is a standardized whitelist process for them.
Fintech Business that can be advertised but required approval
Cryptocurrency Products and Services - Ads may not promote cryptocurrency and related
products and services without prior written permission. Eg. “Bitcoin” or “Ethereum”
Permission Process:
This is only for cryptocurrency clients. Client needs to submit external whitelist form

GSO team (Brian and Lili) will then file the internal whitelist request form. Only managed
clients are eligible for the process.

Existing ad accounts:
Existing ad accounts should follow the policy guidance below. When there's false positive, reachout to account team for further investigation.
Policy Guideline
1. Payday Loans, Cash Advances and Bail Bond - Ads may not promote payday loans,
paycheck advances, bail bonds, or any small, short-term loans intended to cover
someone's expenses until their next payday. Avoid short-term loan businesses.
Prohibited Financial Products and Services - Ads must not promote financial products
and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional
practices. Eg.”Initial Coin Offering (ICO)”, “Binary Options” or “Blockchain”
Personal Attributes - Ads must not contain content that asserts or implies personal
attributes. This includes direct or indirect assertions or implications about a person’s race,
ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, age, sexual orientation or practices, gender identity,
disability, medical condition (including physical or mental health), financial status,
membership in a trade union, criminal record, or name. Eg.”Do you need to borrow
money?” “Not enough money?” “Want immediate cash to pay expenses?”
Misleading or False Content - Ads, landing pages, and business practices must not
contain deceptive, false, or misleading content, including deceptive claims, offers, or
methods. eg. “Your have friends using this app” “Successfully borrowed $100”
Text in Ad Images - Excessive text in ad images may result in your ad reaching fewer
people or not running at all. Try to use little or no image text when possible. Visit theAdvertiser Help Center to learn more about these guidelines and exceptions to the
guidelines.
Lead Ads - Advertisers must not create Lead Ads questions to request the following
types of information.
Government Issued Identifiers - Ads must not request government-issued
identifiers, including Social Security numbers, passport numbers or driver's
license numbers
Account Numbers - Ads must not request account numbers, including frequent
flyer numbers, loyalty card numbers, or cable or telephone account numbers
Financial Information - Ads must not request account numbers, including frequent
flyer numbers, loyalty card numbers, or cable or telephone account numbers

7. Discriminatory Practices / Targeting: Fintech related ads may violate the policy such
policy. If you'd like to run these ads, you'll need to certify that you'll comply with our

es ) prohibiting discrimination and with applicable anti-discrimination laws. Please use
the "Certify" button in Ads Manager to complete our certification.
