-> 当一件事持续进行，一件事出现把它打断。 这时持续进行的用进行时，打断的用现在时。 根据事态或者动词判断是现在还是过去。

-> years ago 很多年前， -> 表示过去， 有没有正在进行 所以用一般过去时。

but he is now working at a bank.

-> now 强调现在，所以用现在进行时

He gets a good salary, but he aways borrows money from his friends and never pays it back.

-> aways、never 表示频度，一般跟一般现在时搭配。

Tony saw me and came and sat at the same table.

He has never borrowed money for me.

-> 从现在到过去，都没有问我借过钱。  现在完成时。

->（He never borrowed money for me. 表达的是过去没有问我接过钱。  -> 一般过去时）

While he was eating,I asked him to lend me twenty pounds .

To my surprise (L 7), he gave me the money immediately.

'I have never borrowed any money from you ,' Tony said, 'so now you can pay for my dinner!'  

-> 现在完成时  , 从过去到现在我都没有问你借过钱

1. L2 一般现在时（do/does） VS 现在进行时(be + doing)

-> 异同点： 两种时态都表示的是现在的事， 但是现在进行时强调正在进行，而一般现在时表示经常性，习惯性 发生的。

L3 一般过去时 (did)

L4 , L5 现在完成时 (have/has + done)  -> 现在的之前

L7 过去进行时 (was / were + doing) -> 过去的某一个时间点正在进行的事。
