Gifts from Portugal（1）

When it comes to talking about gifts, I need to tell you one of my friend Mr Candido who is Portuguese. I met him  when he visited in Ningbo  at his first time in 2005.I invited him to have lunch at a Pizza shop in Tianyi Mall which was the shopping center in Ningbo at that time. After lunch he gave me a bottle of wine and a big box of Chocolates which were brought from his country.From then on, though I haven't met him again, he called me on every Christmas Eve.

Two years ago, he despatched me  several bottles of cream and a bottle of wine from Portugal.

After half years later, he sent me some gifts again, a piece of  cured meat, several cans of beaf, chocolates and a pair high-heel shoes. He told me it was very delicious to eat the cured meat with  cantaloupe together. I tasted but threw  it up very quickly . I haven't eaten a such queer food before.  It was unbelievable to eat the meat in the raw. Then I cooked the meat, it was too salt to eat.

He often tells me that he loves China very much and wants to live in China for several months. Sometimes he also asks me whether he could find a job in China, even in a low salary.

One day he suddenly told me he would visit China in four months last year, but he hasn't come until  today. He  has few called me after last Christmas even . I tried to call him and send several emails to him but failed.I hope everything goes well in his life.
