Inheritance tax is routinely seen as the least fair by Americans and Britons. This hostility spans the income brackets. Surveys suggest that the poor shows more opposition than the rich with regard to inheritance estate tax.

As a vote-winner to politicians, the Republicans want to abolish the death taxes before 2025. Many other countries have gone down the same path. These taxes had an influence on two vital liberal principles which are against each other. One is that people should dispose his wealth at his will. The second is that a perminant and hereditary elite is unhealth and unfair to society.
