Our Star is Trinidad Navarro
I am Trinidad from Spain, I am half Dominican and half Spanish. I am a vegetarian, animal and environment lover. I have always been interested in languages, art and traveling, my biggest passion. I love to know about different cultures, find out about their foods, traditions, meet local people and get involved.
This passion led me to study Tourism & Hotel Management. I have been working over the past 12 years in Hospitality field and lived in Ireland, Germany, UK, Switzerland, USA and currently China. I am now involved in few local sustainability projects and working on a blog about sustainable trends, arts, food etc. My other passions are books, fashion, cook and music (specially going to concerts and festivals!).
1.What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
First thing I do is to drink a big glass of lemon water and take a shower. I am then ready to begin my day.
2.Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I am definitely morning person. I like waking up early and maximized my day.
3.Favorite fashion era?
I love 50~60s, simple lines but very feminine and elegant.
4.Earliest fashion memory?
Trying on my mom dresses and high heels
5.What’s the first outfit you ever bought for yourself?
It was vintage a dress from a second hand store.
6.Define‘Fashion’
It is the way we have to express ourselves everyday!
7.How would you describe your personal style?
I would say is traditional, simple lines, I do not use many bright colors.
8.Who’s the most inspiring woman that you look up to?
Besides my mom, I find Michelle Obama a hardworking woman, with an impressive curriculum and fashion style.
9.Favorite book?
I can’t only name one! But among my favorites those are; Hundred Years of Solitude-G. Garcia Marquez, The Idiot-F. Dostoyevsky and The 25thHour -C.V. Gheorghiu.
10.Spirit animal?
Cat, independent and curious, but loves to be cuddle.
11.What’s your guilty pleasure?
Dark chocolate and coffee! Ummm….
12.Tote or clutch?
Tote for casual and day looks, clutch at night.
13.Heels or flats?
Heels for night events, flats for casual looks.
14.Little black dress or little white dress?
Little black dress.
15.Colors or Black/White?
I prefer black, can be use day/night all seasons, and it will always add a touch of elegance to our looks.
16.Dress up or dress down?
It depends, I love to dress up for special events, but I like to wear casual too.

19.Favorite Instagram account to browse on?
Since I live in China, I don’t use Instagram, but I remember I used to follow fashion, travel and vegan chefs accounts.
20.What’s your favorite emoji?
Smiley-face. Simple but it can represents many good feelings, happiness, support, agreement… Just a smile can make a huge positive impact.
21.Favorite artist?
I can not name only one, I like Bansky (graffiti artist) his graffiti can not leave anybody indifferent, Salvador Dali (painter) and Oscar de la Renta (fashion designer) I love almost all his designs.
22.Last film you saw?
It was a Spanish movie called “Cien Anios de Perdon” with Luis Tosar, my favorite Spanish actor.
23.Who would play you in a film about your life?
Maybe Jessica Alba because of her Latin-American roots.
24.What’s one thing you can’t live without?
I can’t live without my Kindle and the 100 books I have in it.
25.If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Anywhere with white sand and palm trees.
26.What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Always be ready
27.What do you think are the current and future trends in fashion?
I think, fashion is currently open and flexible for anybody to try and experiment with anything, it is fantastic! There are no limits in terms on combining different pattern, colors and fabrics. I would say the future trend would be “glocalisation” mixing clothes from different cultures adapting it to our local place.
28.What do you think is the biggest challenge that modern day women face nowadays and what should be done more to empower them?
We should fight for gender equality and fight against stereotypes. I believe education and knowledge can help to fight those.
29.What are you going to do right after this interview?
I am going to continue studying for my Master in Philosophy, too much to read!
