reading notes:

This article is quite interesting. When we are chanting "renewable energy", the article drowns our enthusiasm. It is the typical economist. When things go viral, it keeps cool.when someting goes wrong, it will firstly stands out and criticizes, being the bad guy. And because of its unique perspectives it enjoys popularity among intellectuals.  Its uniqueness is on display in this article. At the very beginning, it shows the present situation of RE. Based on our commonsense, we tend to think that RE is great. It is environmen-friendly; it saves energy and creats benefits; it will be a promising industry in the future. So why it is threatening itself and the energy industry? Curiosity is being stirring. Then we follow the story and get to know RE. It is not that perfect as we thought. It has disrupted the energy industry by eating its tail. Depended on govrnment subsidies and investment, it struggles for survival. But as time goes on, it finally muds the water. The disruption of RE comes not only from itself but also the market. RE producers, the govrnment and customers all have their responsibilities. So if we want to get out of the muddling situation, we need to start from these aspects.
