Apple 于当地时间 9月22日宣布收购一家生产存储、处理、查询、和可视化数据软件的创业公司 Tuplejump。

Tuplejump 联合创始人此前已陆续加入 Apple 和 anaplan。这个团队非常熟悉开源大数据工具，也曾建立自己的开源搜索索引系统——基于 Apache Lucene 全文搜索软件和 Cassandra 存储数据的 Stargate。这也预示着他们将运用搜索方面的专业知识与技术帮助推动 Apple 在 iOS 和 macOS 等平台上的进步。

Google 在当地时间 9月22日宣布为服务于 Daydream 高质量移动虚拟现实平台设计应用的开发者成立一个新项目 Daydream Access Program (DAP)。这个项目使得开发者可以在任何时间向 Google 提交应用申请而无需等待至2017年。

同时，Google VR SDK 完成测试，VR 产品经理 Nathan Martz 在博客中写道：

Our updated SDK simplifies common VR development tasks so you can focus on building immersive, interactive mobile VR applications for Daydream-ready phones and headsets, and supports integrated asynchronous reprojection, high fidelity spatialized audio, and interactions using the Daydream controller.

而可以运行 Daydream 应用的手机、配合该手机使用的头显和相应的控制器也会陆续完成。

Facebook Messenger 新添群聊投票和 AI 付款建议功能

Facebook 的聊天应用想要通过投票帮助人们解决用餐和娱乐的选择恐惧症，并通过机器学习来提醒用户收付款项。这两项新功能日前已首先在美国试行，若进展顺利将会在其他国家推广。

投票功能，与 Facebook 中的投票相似，只是通过在群聊中提出问题和可供选择的答案，通过群成员的投票得到最受欢迎的选项作为参考。

而 Messenger 新增的付款聊天助手功能使用了机器学习算法扫描用户的讯息，寻找其中包含或者类似 "IOU"， "owe"， "send money" 之类的指示，一旦触发，Messenger 会自动发送付款按钮，来帮助你解决款项支付的问题。自从 2015年开通朋友间支付，Facebook 最近还开通了聊天机器人付款功能，如今 AI 也应用其中，就像他们自己所言：

We look at this chat assist function with polls and payments as just another example of offering help to make Messenger users lives easier – like offering a ride with Uber, for example.
