九年级U7 SA阅读是一篇诗歌,课程中第一次出现诗歌题材的文章,是个体会英语优美、增加语感的好机会。

1.诗歌知识

这首poem有三个verse,句尾有押韵 ,跟读体会

如第一节:ai, i, l

"When I was a tiny baby crying all night, my mom sang to me and stayed by my side.

When I was tired and hungry, she gave me food and warm arms to sleep in.

When I was running through the field, she made sure I was safe and kept me from danger.

When I fell and hurt myself, she gave me a hug and lifted me up."

2.诗歌仿写

用When I ..., my mom...

3.情景表演

设定情景,让学生来表演与妈妈顶嘴的片段

Mom: No ice-cream!

I: I should be allowed to eat some! Give it to me now.

在诗歌基础上进行拓展场景,让学生强化句式练习I should be allowed to...

4.中文翻译

让学生用类似的中文句式优美的翻译

虽然把lifted me up翻成“举高高”,把I am not a baby翻成了“我不是个宝宝”,但课堂气氛很好

5.补充绘本材料

My Dad这本绘本中有许多描述爸爸的句子

"He is as big as a house

and as soft as my Teddy"

在一起阅读绘本后请学生用相同的句式描述妈妈

以下是学生写的句子:

Mom is as beautiful as a butter

She is as pretty as a rose

She is as warm as sunshine

She is as busy as a bee

6.布置仿写作业

让学生写一首My Day/Mom小诗作为Thanksgiving的礼物送给爸爸或妈妈

【改进】

1.情景表演:改成同学扮演妈妈和孩子角色,开火车接力,练习面更广。

2.诗歌仿写:改成“”“I am a poet”的小组活动,让每组当场完成一首诗歌,在班级内部诵读。
