Weave

The“objective reality,”or the territory itself, is composed of “lighthouse” principles that govern human growth and happiness- natural laws that are woven into the fabric of civilized society throughout history and comprise the roots of every family and institution that has endured and prospered.

Weave 织(布);编织 If you weave cloth or a carpet, you make it by crossing threads over and under each other using a frame or machine called a loom.

这里实际上用了暗喻手法，把文明社会比喻成一张网，自然法则为针线，很是形象生动。

It's almost as if these principles or natural laws are part of the human condition, part of the human consciousness, part of the human conscience.

意识;思想Your consciousness is your mind and your thoughts.

良心;良知Your conscience is the part of your mind that tells you whether what you are doing is right or wrong.

因为自己老把这两个词搞混，所以单独拿出来记一下~

Align

The more our maps or paradigms are aligned with these principles or natural laws, the more accurate and functional they will be.

Align : to change sth slightly so that it is in the correct relationship to sth else使一致

e.g. Domestic prices have been aligned with those in world markets.

国内价格已调整到与世界市场一致。

写作中也可以用到这个单词

如 personal pursuit and collective interests rarely align.

Principles are the territory. Values are maps. When we value correct principles, we have truth- a knowledge of things as they are.

作者单独分析了价值观和原则的不同，价值观人人都有，小偷也不例外，而原则不同。原则是人类行为的指导方针，是永恒的价值观，无可非议。

Paradigms are inseparable from character. Being is seeing in the human dimension. And what we see is highly interrelated to what we are.

我们所见的和我们是谁息息相关。元认知是我们性格中不可分离的一部分。我们的行为应该和我们所认知的这个世界相联系、包容。

题外话：想起一部很老的电影，Santa Clause,里面有句话seeing is not believing  believing is seeing跟这个没有多大联系，就单纯的想要分享一下哈哈

In all of life, there are sequential stages of growth and development.

很喜欢作者写的这一段话，简单却很有道理。人生本来就是一段成长过程，人总要先学会走路而后跑，从蹒跚婴孩到弱冠少年本就需要时间浇灌。

“A thousand-mile journey begins with the first step”and can only be taken one step at a time.

千里之行，始于足下，一步一个脚印是多么简单的道理，但很少人能够对此有着正确包括持之以恒的态度，包括我自己。一步登天是多少人梦寐以求的事，而历史证明，成功往往是留给那些一直在走的人。

因为昨天用的 doc 文档，感觉不太适合分享，今天第一次用哈哈~
