Day 4 Cheetah

The brownish fur of the cheetah is dotted with black spots, expecially obvious on its tail. With its aerodynamic stature, this beautiful creature is also agile. But whether this attack can yield a delicious meal remains a mystery.

Close enough to the antelope, the cheetah launches its forceful and deadly attack. The photo brilliantly captures the very instant  when the "big cat" springs forward, with its hind legs still gripping on the ground and its fore ones extending toward the prey. Its tail is high in the air, lending force to its motion and serving  as a rudder to keep balance. The moment is just right to crush the antelope to the ground. When the prey is taking a sharp turn, it is leaning to one side, therefore, most unstable.
