The gentlemen in picture is like a contemporary and counterpart of Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, square-jawed and well-bred. He wears a dark green velvet coat with stand-up collar and a white silk scarf casually tied.

He is not as intimidating, though, partly because of his eye corners slightly pointing up, and the double eyelid.

A closer look gives away a day’s growth of beard on his face that is balanced by a pair of likeable ears and pivoted at the midpoint by a high-bridge nose.

Apparently intrigued, he is looking at someone standing in his two o’clock, eyebrows flying and corralling up lines of forehead winkles.

Although he purses his lips, with no rush to jump in, his eyes were beaming a friendly curiosity minted with something of a healthy doubt, intimating the willingness of continuing being part of the conversation.
