A: the advertiser S: the seeker
A: Hey man, what are you doing?
S: I’m looking for a new job, so I’m researching some companies. Check up this one.
A: LipSync? Nice office. Where’s it based?
S: It’s in Shanghai.
A: Oh, awesome! You are always talking about moving to China. What kind of company is LipSync?
S: It’s a tech and education company. It has some great online English language courses. People can study on their smartphones.
A: Cool! This kind of app is getting to be more popular. My buddy Dave uses one to study Italian. And I always say you using apps to study Chinese.
S: Yeah. These apps are the future of language learning. They are more effective than traditional textbooks. And you can use them anywhere. I study with my Chinese app on my way to work everyday. It’s super convenient.
A: Are you using any of LipSync’s courses?
S: I am. It’s really well-designed. It’s much better than my Chinese app.
A: Nice! So, is LipSync a big company?
S: Actually, It’s a start-up. It was founded a few years ago, but it’s growing very fast. They already have 40 million users.
A: It sounds exciting. You are going to apply for this place, right?
S: Well, I want to, but I don’t think I have enough experience. Look at this job for the ciraculer wtitter. It says I need three years of writing experience. I don’t have that.
A:
But you have two years teaching experience, right?
S: Yeah, do you think that’s enough?
A: Well, I don’t know. I’m not a recruiter. But I heard startups always need hard-working, smart people.
S: Do you think that’s enough?
A: You know a lot about language learning apps, and your Chinese is great. You probably more qualified than you think. Don’t think so much and just apply.
S: Yeah, you’re right. I will.
