大学的意义

大学课堂的重点是对学生未来作为合格公民角色的引导，培养学生的思维方式，帮助学生发展有意义的生活哲学观（a meaningful philosophy of life），部分课程是为未来职场的技能做储备，以便于学生将来有机会过上富裕的生活（well off financially）.

大学教授的作用是lead you to the fountain of knowledge. Whether you drink deeply, or only gargle is entirely up to you.

大学教授授课是要通过“challenge students in class and engage them beyond it”，从而升华达到“an induction of eager minds”的目的，强调大学教授对学生思想的引导作用。
