Greetings: Good afternoon, babies (aged 2-4). How are you?

Questions: Do you like toys? What kind of toys do you like and have?

Things I prepared to show to the babies. OK, these are the toys around us. Which one do you like? ……

Then I will take out the picture book 《 A  toy for Vik》. Babies, look at the cover of the book. Who are they? They are daddy, mummy and Vik. Where are they?  In a toy shop? The book was written by Monica Hughes and illustrated by Annabel Tempest will tell you the answer.

Here we go.  Vik and his parents came to a toy shop. ‘ Look!’ said Vik. ‘Can I have a teddy?’ ‘No!’ said Dad. ‘Put it down.’ They went on. ‘Look!’ said Vik. ‘Can I have a mask?’ ‘No!’ said Mum. ‘Put it down.’ They continued shopping. ‘Look!’ said Vik. ‘Can I have a video?’ ‘No!’ said Mum. ‘Put it down.’ At last, they found something interesting. ‘Look at this!’ said Dad. ‘Put it down.’ said Vik. ‘No!’ said Dad. ‘You can have it.’ ‘Yes!’ said Vik. ‘I can have a scooter!’ The boy was surprised and excited. That’s the end of the story.

Comment: Sometimes your parents go shopping with you. But most of the toys you like to touch , to own. So what should they do? Will they buy the thing all you like?……

We have many chances to go shopping. And we also have many many toys at home. So we couldn’t buy too many things because it’s not enough to put all of them. Right? Our parents should make a rule, that is, buy one which you like better at one time or you will get nothing.

Now please think about a question. If you are Vik, what will you do if parents don’t buy all the things you want? You cry or have a new idea?……
