The revenue from live streaming reached 30.45 billion yuan in China last year, an official from the Ministry of Culture has said at a live streaming forum. According to Wu Jiangbo, head of the ministry's Cultural Market Department, revenue increased by 39% from 2016. The department will continue to strengthen the supervision over and regulation of the live streaming market, and guide the business into healthy and rapid development, Wu said.
文化部文化市场司司长吴江波近日在一个网络直播行业论坛上表示，去年我国网络直播市场营收达304.5亿元，比2016年增长39%。吴江波表示，文化部文化市场司将继续加强对网络直播市场的监督和规范，引导行业健康迅速发展。(新华社)

上海GDP总量破3万亿元
Shanghai became the first city in China, the world's second-largest economy, to top GDP of 3 trillion yuan and achieved higher-than-expected growth last year, official data revealed on Friday. The municipality achieved 3.01 trillion yuan in GDP in 2017, for year-on-year GDP growth of 6.9%, which corresponded with that of the previous year and last year's national average, according to the Shanghai Municipal Statistics Bureau.
19日发布的官方数据显示，上海去年实现了超预期的增长，成为我国首个GDP突破3万亿元的城市。我国是世界第二大经济体。上海市统计局称，2017年，上海GDP完成3.01万亿元，同比增长6.9%，增速与上年持平，也和去年全国GDP增速一致。(中国日报)

美政府机构再一次'关门'
The US government is shutting down as the Senate failed to pass a stopgap spending bill. Negotiations between congressional lawmakers continue. Last-minute negotiations fell apart as Senate Democrats blocked a four-week short-term spending bill in a late night vote. It led to the fourth government shutdown over the past 25 years. The White House accused the Democrats of the shutdown.
