God Wants to Give You Freedom

“If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free” (John 8:36 GNT).

The world defines freedom as a life without any restraint — “I can do anything I want to do and say anything I want to say without anybody telling me what to do.” You may burn everybody else, but you get to do it your own way. The world says you can have your freedom, but only by being totally selfish.

这个世界所定义的自由，就是一个没有任何约束的生活，“我可以做任何我想要做的事情，说任何我想说的话，不需要别人来对我指手画脚。”你或许会激怒所有人，但是你还用你自己的方法行事为人。这个世界告诉你，你必须变得完全自私，那样你才可以得到你的自由。

Yet, the Bible says the only way to true freedom is through Jesus: “If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free” (John 8:36 GNT).

但是，圣经说只有一条通向真正自由的方式就是透过耶稣：“所以，神的儿子若使你们自由，你们就真正自由了。”（约8:36 和合本修订版）

Real freedom is freedom from fear, guilt, worry, bitterness, and death. You’re free to quit pretending because you’re free to be yourself.

真正的自由就是从恐惧，过失，担忧，苦难和死亡中所发出的自由。你可以自然的不再伪装下去，因为你可以自然的做自己。

How do you get rid of those kinds of fears? By letting God love you! The apostle John teaches that “there is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18a NIV).

那你如何摆脱那些恐惧呢？让上帝爱你吧！使徒约翰教导说“在爱里没有惧怕；完满的爱把惧怕驱逐出去。”（约一 4:18a 和合本修订版）

When you realize how much God loves you, you’ll begin to live in true freedom. In fact, you worship God when you recognize that “God is love.” It is an act of worship to agree that he is a loving, caring, generous God and that we can “rely on the love God has for us” (1 John 4:16a).

当你意识到上帝是多么的爱你，你就会开始在真自由中生活。事实上，当你认识到“神就是爱”之时，就是你敬拜上帝之时。承认上帝的爱，关心，慷慨也是敬拜上帝的一种行动，我们可以“住在神的爱里面”。（约一 4:16a）
