Linux apt-get update 出现404 解决方法

最近把之前的旧电脑搬出来打算做个服务器放在宿舍里，但是在Ubuntu操作系统下面使用apt-get update时总是出现

404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/raring-backports/multiverse/binary-i386/Packages  404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.91.13 80]  
  
W: Failed to fetch http://extras.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-amd64/Packages  404  Not Found  

 

百度后发现当一个Ubuntu发布版本到达结束期后，它的库将不再能够访问，并且你也不会得到任何维护更新和安全补丁。也就是说我的这个版本已经到底了它的结束期。

 

下面是我解决“404 Not Found”错误的方法

 

首先打开ubuntu的home菜单，使用快捷键ctrl+L进入Enter Loaction，输入路径/etc/apt 回车

 

 

 

接着我们要对source.list文件的内容进行修改，但是这个文件的权限是Read_Only,无法进行修改

 

接下来就是对文件的权限进行修改，在当前目录打打开终端 右击空白部分选择Open in Terminal 快捷键(ctrl+alt+T)

输入命令

sudo chmod a+w /etc/apt/sources.list

 

 

 

 

 

 

之后就可以对文件的内容进行修改了，千万记住，看清楚自己的操作系统是多少位的，不要弄错   

以下是我使用的64位操作系统sources.list的内容

直接复制，全选，粘贴，保存即可，到这一步，apt-get就可以正常使用

 

 

最后不要忘记把文件的权限改回来   

 

sudo chmod a-w /etc/apt/sources.list
