A New Book on Artificial Intelligence Published by a CBIE Member

Lingfei Wu, a post-doc researcher in CBIE, recently published a Chinese book on artificial intelligence. This book, called Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and published by the Turing Press in Beijing, is a collaborative work with several other Chinese scientists. In the ninth chapter of the book, The Beautiful Flow of Collective Attention, Lingfei introduces the similar dynamical patterns shared by the real-world flow systems and the attention flow systems (online communities) in the virtual world. He suggests that the accessibility of online datasets provides an unprecedented opportunity for the research of attention dynamics, which will in return help us design better online communities to leverage the power of collective wisdom.
