Balance Between Work And Study

Since inquiring Michael about my work arrangement, I have not got any feedback from him. Based on the current law enacted by the Australian Immigration Dept and Border Protection, WHM (working holiday makers) are allowed to work for the same employer for maximum 6 months. Although the law is allegedly being amended to extend the period into 12 months for the same employer as long as in different branches, there is no official public announcement. So I thought there should be no hope to further work at the clinic even Michael wanted to help me. This Monday I asked him whether this was the last week for me to work here and whether they have hired new reception for hand-over. To my astonishment, he told me that the reason why he had not given me an answer yet was because he was still consulting the company's attorney about the relevant detailed formalities. But the tactic was already confirmed and it was legit. I was so touched and became speechless until Michael asked me, "Do you think it is a good idea?" Immediately, I replied, "Yes, I do!"

Thank you so much, Michael! All the way, you are just like my mentor, who always gives me patient guidance and proper advice in my career. I appreciate your support and everything! And I will strike a balance between work and life and make use of the rest time of my gap year to pass the language test, get the CoE of the university and achieve my goal step by step!

PS: Jenny steamed a big taro cake, which was very tasty and totally a new experience for me. What's more, she added a generous piece of sushi into my lunchbox, so delicious! Thank you!
