Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships that people make? Has this been a positive or n

In today's digital era, the interpersonal relationships are definitely being influenced by technological advances. This is really neither negative nor positive, as in general, the severity of the impact depends entirely on how it is used.

Business, education and social life have all been influenced to a certain extent. Telephones and the Internet have enabled interactions without the need for face to face meetings. Services like Skype have made remote learning ossible so that a student can take lessons with a teacher in virtually any location. Social media has now become the most common way to stay contact with apps like Facebook allowing users to share their feelings, further reducing the need for physical interaction.

In contrast to this, it is tedious if one family member is always busy doing things on the Internet, which will definitely affect the relationship between them, or even their performances at school or work. Take teenager boys as an example, who are always playing computer games when he has time. It surely makes their school performance worse and in particular he would interact much less with his family. Sometimes they become aggressive when someone interrupts him from continuing to play his games. Thus the technologies have been a potentially dangerous source if one does not have self control to keep himself from being addicted.

From what I have demonstrated above, this is obviously a growing trend which has opposing effects on relationships. Apart from the adverse there are obviously advantages if these developments could be used in a neficial way.
