我比较熟悉它的名词用法以及名词用法，表示“复合（的）”。原来它还有动词用法：“使恶化；使复杂化;加重”，可以用来替代exacerbate。

比如在桌上说这个事真是错上加错，可以说：

这儿的医疗体制使问题进一步恶化，可以说：
