每日一词be home to

我们都熟悉“home”的意思是“家”，be home to 常用来表示“某人或某物的所在地”，“某地拥有”，比如“中国有十四亿人”就可以说成“China is home to 1.4 billion people”。home 的这种用法是一个常见的、经常被忽略的好用表达。

当我们介绍一个地区的特色时，就可以用到 be home to。注意这里的 home 不可数，只能用单数形式。

中国的黑龙江省大庆市是中国的石油之城。
