Billy Parker is fourteen.He has got brown hair,green eyes and a small nose.
比利•帕克14岁了。他长着金黄色的头发、绿色的双眼和一个小鼻子。
He has got a sister,too.
他还有一个妹妹。
Her name is Roxanne(but everybody calls her Rox)..
她的名字叫Roxanne（但是每个人都叫她Rox）。
It`s August.Billy and Rox are staying at their grandmother`s house in Brighton.
现在是8月份。比利和Rox正呆在Brighton他们奶奶的家里。
One Sunday,Bill looks at his bicycle.
一个星期天，比利看着他的自行车。
It`s very,very old.
它非常非常旧了。
“I need a new one,”he says.
“我需要一个新的了，”他说。
“But the question is how?New bikes are so expensive”
.“但是问题是怎么做呢？新自行车是那么的贵。”
“It`s all right for you”,says Rox.
“I haven`t got a bike at all.”At that moment Gran opens the back door.
“你已经不错了，”Rox说，“我还根本没有没有自行车呢。”这时，奶奶打开了后门。
“Tes!”she says.Billy and Rox go into the house.
“Tes!”她喊道。比利和Rox进了屋子。
“Gran,”says Billy at tea.”Do you know how I can make a lot of money?”Gran smiles at him.
“奶奶，”比利在茶桌旁说，“你知道我怎样才能赚很多钱？”奶奶对他笑了。
“Why do you ask?” “He wants to buy a new bike,”says Rox.
“你为什么这么问？”“他想买一辆新自行车，”Rox说。
“Oh,I see.”Gran thinks for a minute.
“哦，我明白了。”奶奶想了一分钟。
Then she says, “I know!”
接着说，“我知道了！”
“What?”asks Billy.A magazine called palace is on the table.
“是什么？”比利问。桌上有一本叫王宫的杂志。
Gran opens it. “Look,”she says.
奶奶打开杂志。“看，”她说，
“There`s a competition here and the first prize is 500.”
“这有个比赛，一等奖奖金是500。”
Bill looks at the magazine.
比利看着杂志。
“Send us a photo of you and the Queen together,”he reads.
“发一张女王和你在一起的照片给我们，”他读了出来。
“Together?”says Rox.Billy looks at Gran.
“一起？”Rox说。比利看着奶奶。
“But I don`t understand,”he says.
“但是我不明白，”他说。
“How do people know where the Queen`s going to be?”
“人们怎么能知道女王去那里了？”
“That`s easy,”says Gran.
“那容易，”奶奶说。
“It tells you every week in them magazine.”
“他们的杂志里每星期都会告诉你的。”
She turns to page 67 of palace.
她把杂志翻到了67页。
“Look-here we are.Tomorrow she`s going to a horse show near here.
“看——在这儿。明天她要参观附近的一个马匹展览。
On Wednesday she`s going to see a film,and on Friday she`s going to open a new hospital.”
星期三她要去看一场电影，星期五去为一间新医院剪彩。”
Billy looks at Rox.
比利看着Rox。
“What do you think?”he asks.Rox smiles, “I think you can buy two new bikes for 500,”she says.
“你觉得怎么样？”他笑着问Rox，“我觉得你能用500块买两辆自行车，”她说。

The next day is Monday.
第二天是星期一。
There is a horse show near Brighton and the Queen is going to be there at 11 o`clock.
Brighton附近有一个马匹展览，女王11点要去那里。
Billy and Rox leave at 10 o`clock.
比利和Rox在10点离开了家。
“Now have you got everything?”asks Gran.
“现在你带齐所有东西了吗？”奶奶问到。
“Camera?Sandwiches?Umbrella?Coffee?Money?”Bill looks at the sky.
“相机？三明治？雨伞？咖啡？钱？”比利仰头望着天空。
“Yes,Gran,”he says.
“是的，奶奶，”他说。
“All right,then—have a nice time,”says the old lady.
“好的，玩得开心一点儿，”老人说。
Rox smiles. “Thanks,Gran,”she says.
Rox笑着说，“谢谢你，奶奶。”

Brighton Station is only five minutes away from Gran`s house. Bill and Rox walk there.
Brighton车站离奶奶家只有5分钟路程。
“Ok—which train do we want?”asks Billy.
“好了——我们要做哪趟车？”比利问。
“The 10.18,”says Rox.
“10.18，”Rox说。
They arrive at the horse show just after 11 o`clock.
他们刚过11点钟就到了马匹展览。
There are lots of people.
那里有很多人。
“Can you see the Queen?”asks Rox.
“你能看到女王吗？”Rox问。
“No,I can`t,”says Billy. He looks left and right.
“不，我看不到，”比利说。他左右看了看。
Then he stops.
接着他停住了。
“Look. She`s over there.”
“看，她在那儿。”
He is right.The  Queen is standing next to a horse.
他是对的。女王正站在一匹马的旁边。
“Have you got the camera?”asks Bill.
“你拿着相机吗？”比利问。
“Yes.”Rox takes it out of her bag.
“是。”Rox从她的包里把相机拿出来。
“Come on,”says Billy. He smiles.
“快点儿，”比利说。他笑着。
“This is going to be easy.”But at that moment,three very tall men stand in front of him and Rox.
“这很容易嘛。”但就在这时，三个非常高的男人站到了Rox和他的面前。
“We want to take a photo of the Queen,”says Billy.
“我们想拍一张女王的照片，”比利说，
“Is that OK?” “No,”says one of the men.
“行吗？”“不行，”一个男人说。
He puts his face near Bill`s. “It`s not”
他把脸贴近比利的脸，说，“不可以。”
Rox looks at Billy.It`s starting to rain. “Come on,”she says.
Rox看着比利。天开始下雨。“走吧，”她说。
Let`s go home. We`re not going to get a photo today.We can try again on Wednesday.The Queen`s going to see a film in London,remember?” Wednesday arrives.
“我们回家吧。我们今天没有拍到照片。我们在星期三再试。女王星期三要在伦敦看一场电影，还记得吗？”
星期三到了。
Billy and Rox take a train to London.
比利和Rox坐火车到了伦敦。
They get to the Odon Cinema,Leicester Square at 7.15.
他们7：15赶到了Leicester广场的Odon电影院。
In palace magazine it says“The film starts at 7.30.
王宫杂志上说，“电影7：30分开始。”

There are hundreds of people outside the cinema
电影院外边有几百人。
Everyone is waiting to see the Queen.
每个人都在等着看女王。
Her car arrives at 7.25.
她的车7：25到了。
“Ok,”says Billy. “Are you ready?”Rox smiles and says, “Yes”.The car stops.
“好了，”比利说，“你准备好了吗？”Rox微笑着说，“是。”汽车停了下来。
The Queen gets out.Everyone starts to move.
女王走出汽车。每个人都开始移动。
“Now!”says Bill,but suddenly Rox cann`t see anything.
“就是现在了。”比利说，但是，Rox突然什么都看不见了。
She puts the camera above her head.
她把相机举在头上。
Click!But she only gets a picture of Bill`s right ear.
咔嚓！但是她只拍到了一张比利右边耳朵的照片。
Now it`s Friday afternoon.
现在到了星期五下午。
Bill and Rox are outside a new hospital in London.
比利和Rox站在伦敦一间新医院的外边。
Bill is carrying lots of red roses.
比利拿着许多玫瑰。
At 2.30 he is going to give them to the Queen.
2：30时他要把它们献给女王。
At that moment ,Rox is going to take a photo.
那个时候，Rox会拍一张照片。
Just before 2 o`clock the hospital doors open.
就在2点钟前，医院的门开了。
“What`s happening?says Billy.”Someone comes out.
“发生什么事了？”比利说。一些人走了出来。
It`s a tall mam with grey hair.
是一个头发灰白的高个子男人。
“Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen,”he says.
“女士们，先生们，下午好，”他说。
Everyone is quiet.The man looks at his shoes.
每个人都静了下来。那个人看着自己的鞋子。
Then he looks at all the people in front of him.
接着他看着他面前的人群。
“I`m afraid  l`ve got some bad news,”he says.
“我恐怕要告诉大家一些不好的消息，”他说。
“The Queen has a cold and can`t be with us today.”
“女王感冒了，今天不能和大家在一起了。”
“That`s it,”says Billy.
“就这样了，”比利说。
He gives the roses to a woman beside him.
他把玫瑰给了他旁边的一个女人。
“Here,”he says, “you can have these.”
“给，”他说，“你可以拿走了。”
Then he walks down the street.
接着他沿着街道走开了。
He is very angry.Rox follows him.
他非常生气。Rox跟着他。
Two minutes later she stops.
两分钟后她停住了。
Billy looks behind him.
比利看着他背后。
“What are you doing?”he asks ./
“你要干什么？”她问。
Rox is standing in front of a big building.
Rox正站在一座大房子前面。
“I`ve got an idea”she says and smiles.
“我有了一个主意了，”她说，并微笑着。
Now Billy looks at the building, too .
比利现在也看到了那座大房子。
It`s Madame Tussaud`s.
这是杜莎夫人蜡像馆。
“An idea?he says.”yes.”Rox takes his arm.
“一个主意？”他问。“是的。”Rox拉着他的手臂。
“Come on ,”she says.
“来吧，”她说。
“Let`s go in ”Billy follows her.
“我们进去吧。”比利跟着她。
“Bur why?”he saks.”I don`t understand.”
“但是为什么呀？”他问，“我不明白。”
“Don`t ask questions.Just follow me,”says Rox.
“别问了。只要跟着我，”Rox说。
There are lots of famous people in Madame Tussaud`s.
在杜莎夫人蜡像馆里有许多有名的人。
Popstars-sports stars-world leaders…Suddenly,
流行巨星——运动明星——世界领导人…突然，
Billy sees the British Royal Family.
比利看到了英国皇室家庭。
“Now d you understand?”asks Rox.
“你现在明白了吗?”Rox问。
“yes,”says Billy and starts to laugh.
“是，”比利回答，开始笑了起来。
He stands next to the Queen.
他站到了女王的旁边。
“Smile,”says Rox.Her brother smiles.
“笑一笑，”Rox说。他的哥哥微笑着。
Click!Rox takes a photo.
咔嚓！Rox拍了一张照片。
But at that moment someone shouts.
但是就在这时有人叫起来了。
“Hey!What areyou two doing?”Ir`s a Madame Tussaud`s guard and he is very angry.
“喂！你们两个在干什么？”是杜莎夫人蜡像馆的警卫，他非常生气。
“You can`t take photos like that in here,”he says.
“你们不能在这象那样子拍照，”他说。
“come on.Give me that camera,Now!”Rox looks at Billy.
“过来。把相机给我，马上！”Rox看着比利。
“Run,”says Billy
“快跑，”比利说。
They start to run.The guard follows them.
他们开始逃跑，警卫追着他们。
“Come back here!”he shouts.But Billy and Rox don`t stop.
“回来！”他叫着。但是比利和Rox一步也没有停。

Two weeks later,Gran is talking to her neighbour—MrsClark.
两个星期后，奶奶正在和她的邻居Clark太太交谈。
They are both looking at palace magazine.
她们两个都在看王宫杂志。
Out in the garden,Billy and Rox are riding their new bikes.
在外面的花园里，比利和Rox正骑着他们的新自行车。
“What a beautiful photo!”says Mrs Clark.
“多漂亮的照片啊！”Clark太太说。
“And how wonderful for you to have a grandson who knows the  Queen.Does he know her well?”
“而且你有一个认识女王的孙子，多棒啊。他很了解她吗？”
“No not very well,”says Gran.She smiles.
“不是太了解，”奶奶说。她微笑着，
“More tea,Mrs Clark? ”
“再来点茶吗，Clark太太？”
