When attempting to deliver, inspect, return or correct a Purchase Order (PO) receipt tied to an item, the following error(s) occur:

ERRORS
The errors are broken down to where you might see them based on how you performed the transaction. For example, the error that you see in online receiving, immediate mode, or in the debug file are shown. (Refer to Note 197860.1 for explanation of receiving processing modes).

STEPS
Responsibility: Purchasing or Inventory
1. Go to Receiving / Receiving Transactions
. or Receiving / Corrections
. or Receiving / Returns
2. Enter Receipt or Purchase Order Number
3. Select the receipt line to be transacted
4. Enter Subinventory and Save
5. Error occurs

Changes

Possible changes are, but not limited to:
- Upgrade to 11.5.10
- Item attribute changes including item status.

Cause

The cause is a missing Move Order line for the receive transaction (in MTL_TXN_REQUEST_LINES (MTRL) table). If the item was inactive at the time of receipt, the Move Order line was not created, but the system is validating for the Move Order line at the time of correct/return, even if the item is inactive.

Note - See what the item status is by querying it in the Inventory > Items > Master Items screen.
Also, look at the "Inventory Organization Item" setup by then choosing Menu: Tools > Organization Assignments, and selecting the inventory organization in question. 


New Functionality -- Since March 2010
In R11.5.10 and R12, it has been decided to not create putaway MOs for receipts in non-WMS enabled organizations in the following bugs: 9187692 and 8731994.

Per Note 301524.1, apply Patch 9187692 for 11i, and Patch 8731994 for R12 to correct the issue for NON WMS organizations (in mtl_parameters table, flag WMS_ENABLED_FLAG is 'N' )

With these patches applied, in non-WMS enabled organizations, the use of table MTL_TXN_REQUEST_LINES (MTRL) is no longer relevant and there will not be RVTTH-115 errors.


Solution1. Apply Patch 5507513
The patch provides RCVTXECO.pld 115.67.11510.15
                             RCVTXERE.pld 115.71.11510.6

This patch will allow the user to return or correct the receive transactions for the inactive item.  If the item is inactive and the user is trying to perform an inspect or deliver, the transaction will NOT be allowed. It is not possible to inspect or deliver an inactive item.

2. Please note: This solution DOES NOT apply if the item is now active. If the item is active, follow the steps outlined in Note 301524.1 for the solution: Receiving Transactions Fails With RVTTH-115F / RVTTH-115D Error (Missing Move Order Datafix)


To prevent future occurrences:

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patch 6749692.

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying
the recommended patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Confirm the following file versions:
INVIDI3B.pls 115.48.115100.12

You can use the commands like the following:
grep '$Header' $INV_TOP/patch/115/sql/INVIDI3B.pls

5. Retest the issue.

6. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.
