Day17:Reuse of 100 year old requirement at Tsing Hua university

Undergraduates at Tsing Hua university since the academic year of 2017 will have to take a compulsory course of swimming to obtain an undergraduate diploma.According to Liu Bo,it's urgent to promote sports among students since undergraduates at university have suffered from physical health declines and swimming is a necessary skill for survival.Actually,the requirement has a history of over 100 years. In 1919, the university had its indoor swimming pool and students had to swim at least 20 meters before being granted an undergraduate diploma.
