Quick Start

Unless you wish to contribute to the project, we recommend using the hosted version at devdocs.io. It's up-to-date and works offline out-of-the-box.

DevDocs is made of two pieces: a Ruby scraper that generates the documentation and metadata, and a JavaScript app powered by a small Sinatra app.

DevDocs requires Ruby 2.6.x, libcurl, and a JavaScript runtime supported by ExecJS (included in OS X and Windows; Node.js on Linux). Once you have these installed, run the following commands:

git clone https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/devdocs.git && cd devdocs
gem install bundler
bundle install
bundle exec thor docs:download --default
bundle exec rackup

服务器上需要的环境 ruby,libcurl,nodejs。具体安装步骤如下:

一、下载项目 git clone https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/devdocs.git

二、安装gem工具:

yum install rubygems

gem install bundler

yum install ruby (安装完毕后ruby版本是1.8)

centos6.9上安装后,执行官方上的步骤,会提示ruby 必须是2.6以后。

需要对ruby进行升级。

三、升级ruby ,gem。(通过rvm工具来升级ruby)

1.更换国内源 gem sources --add http://gems.ruby-china.org/

2.删除默认源 gem sources -r http://rubygems.org/

3.安装rvm

⑴. 获得密钥

⑶.更新配置文件 

source /etc/profile.d/rvm.sh

4.升级ruby 、gem

rvm list known

安装ruby2.6

rvm install 2.6

四、再安装devdocs,按照官网的步骤执行

git clone https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/devdocs.git && cd devdocs
gem install bundler
bundle install
bundle exec thor docs:download --default
bundle exec rackup

在启动之前,安装nodejs .yum install nodejs !

 

五、启动web的时候,使用rackup -o指定的IP的时候,注意如果使用云服务器,这里的IP是服务器上有的IP,一般都是私有IP地址,如果强行指定服务器的外网Ip地址会报错。
