I once had a car when I was in WuXi, And I thought driving a car was dangerous because when I drave the car across the road, there were always some people walking super close to my car. I didn't know why they were not scared to be so close. But finally,I realized, that's also what I did when I went across the road. The people on the road just felt it was safe to be that close, but only the driver in the car knew how dangerous it was.
So,I have a question, if I can drive, does it mean I can solve the unexpected problems like that？
Actually, No,of course not. Knowing how to drive doesn't mean you are a master,because there are two kinds of abilities,General ability and Solve-unexpected-problem ability,And they are totally different!
For example, You can swim,so you know how to swing your arms and legs, so you can float on the water and move,but it doen't mean you can solve the unexpected problems,such as Leg-cramp, No-energy, sudden-disease and so on. SO, ofcourse you are possible to be drowned！
We can follow the procedure step by step to learn driving,swimming,,but we never learn how to deal with the unexpected problems.As to be a master,We have to learn these TWO abilitirs,General ability,and Solve-unexpected-problem ability.
For this point, there is a story about Einstein and his driver. Einstein always gave speeches in public, and all he said was the same.One day,his driver said: I remember all your words already,so maybe let me take place you to give the speech. Einstein agreed.
Finally it was great of the driver's speech,but it was terrible when it was the question part！So the driver just said :this question is so easy,so let my driver answer it.Then he gave the situation back to Einstein.
From this story,the driver doesn't have the knowledge,he only knows how to imitate Einstein and give the same performance！So we can say,he just knows how to give the speech,but he doesn't have the ability to solve unexpected problems！
So, to be a master, we should follow two steps,first,we should know two abilities,General ability and Solve -unexpected -problem ability.Second,we should take long time to conciously practice these two abilities.
If you just know how to swim, and you think you are already a master,then it will happen that the person who is drowned is always the one who can swim.
