The intensity of Jerusalem's holiness has infected not only believers, but also visitors and conquerors alike with obsession, if not madness. How to reconcile with the dream of sanctity with the chaos, complexity and violence of the real city. The contradiction has never been more acute. The long struggle for possession of the city continues, aggravated on both sides by intolerant nationalism and religious fundamentalism. It has placed Jerusalem, once again, at the very center of global politics.

Israel( backed by the U.S.) is for Jewish while Palestine( backed by the Arab and wider Islamic world) is with Islam. Two different states with different religions backed by different powers lives in one country.

According to the 1993 Israel-Palestinian peace accords, Palestinians are allowed to live in the place with the Israeli nationality. But the holy city-Jerusalem is not internationally recognized as the capital city of Israel.

They both want to take control of the place. Jerusalem, as the holy city sacred to three religions( namely Judaism, Islam and Christianity). Trump's announcement provoked many  disagreement in the Middle East, where Islamic countries are gathered. The move means that Washington officially admits Israel owns the holy city ignoring the calling of Palestinians and considering the agreement invalid. No matter what Trump's intention is, his words will cause disputes in the area again.
