Reaction to To Kill a Mockingbird (2)

Judging from these four chapters, I think Atticus is a charming person. In the first four chapters, he reads newspapers and other good things for his children everyday. As the saying goes, parents are children’s best teachers and they are their first teachers. Atticus teaches by personal example as well as verbal instruction. What he does is the same as what he said. Even Miss Maudie who is a sophisticated lady is respectful to him. He told his children not to interfere others’ rights and not to pay too much attention to their life. Because he respect others, he own respect in return. 

With children’s exploration of Boo’s house, the story becomes increasingly mysterious. The author’s smooth psychological and detail description has create an exciting atmosphere which grabs my heart. Although most of the neighbours accuse that Boo is a bad guy, many things he did were warm and I think he tries his best to respond children’s pure love. He passes his love by secret ways.
