（1）消费者有了更多选择世界各地的食物都可以获得&有些大热的并且对消费者有好处的食物当地没有➔提高生活满意度。

（2）对环境更有益处外地集中规模化生产比当代小规模生产更高效➔高生产率➔降低能源浪费&减少温室气体排放（与生产等量当地食物比），e.g.: 研究表明，即使加上运输过程的环境损耗，规模化生产释放的温室气体更少。
