A paragraph is simply one or more consecutive lines of text, separated by one or more blank lines. (A blank line is any line that looks like a blank line — a line containing nothing but spaces or tabs is considered blank.) Normal paragraphs should not be indented with spaces or tabs.
The implication of the “one or more consecutive lines of text” rule is that Markdown supports “hard-wrapped” text paragraphs. This differs significantly from most other text-to-HTML formatters (including Movable Type’s “Convert Line Breaks” option) which translate every line break character in a paragraph into a
tag.

解释：

一行或多行连续的文字就是一个段落，而这些文字可以由若干空行（仅仅含有空格或者制表符的行也视作空行）
在其他语言当中可能每一次回车都会引起一个新的段落，但是 Markdown 是不会这样处理的，他允许包含不连续的回车（如果是两个回车，必然产生一个空行从而开启一个新的段落，这个和 LaTeX 是一样的）
