Hiking Wu Tong Shan

A short day, but a great hiking experience in Wu Tong Shan, so what happened on our hiking journey? Let me share it with you in a simple way...

First, we planned to hike Wu Tong Shan because it is a very popular hiking destination and is the highest peak in Shenzhen.

We left at around 9 AM from our respective homes to the Chang Ling bus station, which is one of the entrances to scale up the mountain.

It was a sunshiny day and I remember we arrived at that station at 10:45 in the morning.

We chose a hiking trail that had a lot of staircases, almost like an endless of the staircase. I was surprised a little at that moment, not because of the difficulty of the trail, but mostly because of the amount of people at a very narrow staircase. I never thought that so many people loved hiking.

After an hour of hiking, one of my friends got tired so we had a short break, almost everyone needs a break when they hike Wu Tong Shan. Even though the trail was easy, it was still quite physically demanding. We continued to climb up after a while, we rested from time to time, but I noticed that we often still get tired. We would take a 5-minute rest and then hike again for about 25 minutes. We took a rest more than 10 times before we got to the top of the mountain.

We were so happy when we arrived at the Da Wu Tong which is the highest peak of the mountain. It felt like we had a victory and accomplishment at that moment. All of our hard work was worth it because finally, we were at the top of the mountain and you can see the most beautiful scenery at that place.
