2. 体会这个词 (进阶篇)
'emerge'是“显现” “露出”的意思,我们对这个词可能已经很熟悉了,但是写英语的时候可能很少会想到它。其实它和“appear”一样,是个常见不及物动词。
比如,随着年龄的增长,一些特定疾病就可能会出现。这时我们可以说:
As we age, specific health problems emerge.
“emerge'前的主语经常是“问题” “挑战”。比如,美国导演 Bill Condon 想表达“当问题出现时,许多人会试图去掩盖它”时,他是这样说的:
