Many of us treat life as a marathon that doesn’t end until it finally ends for good. Along the way, we learn strategies for conserving our limited resources. This may mean expending energy at a certain steady level at work but rarely fully engaging, or pushing very intensely on the job and then having little energy left to invest at home. Or it may mean slowly disengaging in every sphere of life, as Roger had begun to do.

我们很多人把生命当作一场永无止境的马拉松,直到生命尽头才算结束。这生命旅途中,我们学会了保留有限资源的方法,这意味着工作时只出一定量的精力没有全情投入,或者在工作上又过度消耗导致无法照料家人;也可能跟罗杰一样,在生活中各方面慢慢变得心不在焉(没有状态)。

我的思考My Thinking

人生就是一场马拉松,这句话影响着很多人,我在跑步的狂热期心里总是想着跑一场马拉松。随着精力管理的精进和践行,我突然了,我需要的是健康而不是一场来“证明”自己的马拉松,跑步是一种好的保持健康的锻炼方式,我不需要到处跑步,也退出了参加的跑团。对我而言,跑步是一种维持健康和高精力状态的方式。
Life is like an Marathon which known by many people. I was always thinking of running an Marathon when I got a fever on running. As I learned and practiced more about Energy Management, I figured out one day, I need Health instead of an Marathon which shows me off, I didn't need to run around the country and world, I dropped out from the Running Clubs. In my view, running is a way that serves one's health and Energy to live a long life.
