Today I brought five books in my backpack, when we got into the metro, Melon still played the little toy as usual. After 12 minutes, he said he wanted to read 《little nutbrown hare》,so we started to review this book. He liked this book so much, mainly focused on the hare、the movements、the little mushrooms. During the reading time, he noticed the lane down to the river the first time, I presumed that he may understood what I read, surprise.

After finishing the first book, Melon said he still wanted to read another book, this time he chose 《Mr Gumpy’s outing》written by John Burningham. As we read the cover, he noticed the duck instead of the boat. He also know which one is Mr Gumpy, when I mentioned Mr Gumpy owned a boat, he sang “row row row your boat” at the same which was quite surprised me. As I read the book, some children and lots of animals got onto the boat, and Mr Gumpy announced the rules on the boat. Melon seems didn’t get it, but it’s ok. He could recognized most of the animals except the goat. I found that he especially liked the two chickens, and named them chicken mommy and chicken baby, just as the《little nutbrown hare》, this was what he liked, and also my clue to choose the books. When we read to the page all the people and animals on the boat fell, he asked what happened, I recited the animals’ action to him which caused the boat fell. Melon seems didn’t understand why they walked home instead of rowing the boat. At the end of book, all the people and animals sat around the table enjoying the tea time, the cake and strawberries attracted his attention. As for me, l liked the last page which was so harmony.

Through these three days reading, I found my boy were attracted by the animals a lot, that was the guide for me to select the books, thanks!
