虽然对大多数人来说，CET4还是很简单的，但是想要拿高分是比较难的。所以我暂时分享下每个题型的解题技巧。
选词填空题：
选词填空题，即词汇理解题，占整个考题的5%。考题所给的A-O 15个选项中只有10个是正确的，我们要根据自己对文意的理解选出正确的选项。下面简单介绍下这种题的大致解题思路，在后期中我们会专门分析每个答案的解题思路的，
Step 1：判断考题选项的单词词性：名词、动词、副词、形容词；
名词注意单复数，动词注意是时态、语态、是否三单形式，及物动词还是不及物动词。
Step2：标明单词词性及意思。
名词-n/ns/un （复数正确写法应该是pl.un表示不可数名词,n表示克数名词单数）
动词原形vi或vt；现在进行或主动v-ing；过去或被动v-ed；主语为第三人称单数的一般现在时v-s。
副词大多是-ly结尾的,也有-wise表示按照……方式，就……而言
形容词常见词缀有：-able,-ible, -ant, -ent, -ar, -ary, -ed, -ful, -ic, -ist, -ing, -ive, -less, -ly,
-some, -y。
-ly: Friendly, lively, lovely, lonely, orderly
-some:roublesome, tiresome
-y: Snowy,healthy, wealthy, cloudy, dusty
词意：如果自己很熟的话，可以跳过，节省时间。
Step3. 看题中空格前后根据句意或提示确定该空的单词词性以缩小范围。
Step4. 根据前后文意思选择我们已经归类的单词填空，注意要多联系前后文看我们填的词是否合理。（敲黑板！！这俩才是重头戏）
Step5. 再检查一遍看我们的选择正不正确。
下河摸鱼（例子）~
1. 名词考法：
It is important that we provide teachers and principalsthe support they need to help students reach their full （1） ,"U.S.Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said."Despite the excellent work and deep（2）of our nation's teachers and principals,students in high-poverty, high- minority schools are unfairly treated across our country. We have to do better.

按照我前面的五步法来做
Step1. 找出名词(这里讲的就是名词，不用我们自己找，跳过。)
Step2. 标明特征，我在选项后面用（）表示了；
词意：potential: un. 潜力, 潜能. Challenges: pl.挑战. Commitment: un. un.承诺，保证；委托；承担义务；献身. Component: n.成分，组成 contests:比赛
Step3.回原文确定空格词性（虽然这里讲的是名词，但我还是说明下怎么确定空格词性）。
第一空: reach their full ______. their后面的词必须是名词, full 为形容词，修饰名词.
第二空: Despite the excellent work and deep ______ of our nation's teachers and principals. and 连接的中心词前后词性应该一致，excellent work应和deep ______ 保持一致，那么______ 应该也是名词. 再者，deep为形容词，修饰名词; the + 名词(可被其它词修饰) +of也是固定搭配.
第三空:a ______ of President Obama's year of action. a 不定冠词后面需要跟一个名词中心词，这里a 和of之间只有一个词，那么这个空应该是名词。同时，a后面跟的名词需要是可数名词单数n.
第四空:the ______ of working in high-need schools. the 定冠词后面跟名词.
Step4: 根据前后文意思选词
第一空:It is important that we provide teachers and principals the support they need tohelp students reach their full(1).了解句意:为老师和校长提供支持，而这些支持是为了帮助学生发挥其全部潜力(自己脑补)。如果不能读一遍就确定是哪个单词，那我们把选项中的名词代进去: reach their full potential/ challenges/ commitment/ component.各自意思:达到他们的全部潜能/挑战/承诺(或献身)/组成. 就potential与reach 搭配
批判思考(做题的时候脑子之中的瞎BB)：challenges的意思是挑战，那么应该是有难度的一件事。这样想，难道我们斥巨资是为了帮助学生遇到某些挑战?(那我觉得可能是投资方脑子有病吧，给钱不为了提供方便好处，而是为了制造更多的麻烦) commitment表示承诺，投资方斥巨资是为了让学生实现诺言/献身(真理)？拜托学生是去学习的，对投资方有什么诺言/献身？即使这里是commitment，那针对的也该是老师校长给投资方的诺言(脑子发散的太远)。Component表示组成成分，投资方斥巨资为了帮助学生得到他们的组成成分，学生是一个整体，还有什么组成成分，难道眼睛鼻子肚子腿要分开么，难道要“卖肾”么？contests 表示比赛，这里有比赛么？没有！文中没有一处地方隐射出比赛的意思！
第二空：Despite the excellentwork and deep (2) of our nation's teachersand principals,students in high-poverty,high- minorityschools are unfairly treated across our country. 只看前半句句意:老师和校长们的出色工作和______. and(和)连接的词前后表达色彩一致，比如：he is tall and handsome(又高又帅，男神级存在). 但我们不会说he is handsome and mean(卑鄙的,吝啬的) (长得帅而且卑鄙抠门), 而是he ishandsome but mean (长得帅，但是是个卑鄙抠门的货). 所以这里要填入的词应该和excellent work能够表达出相近的感情色彩。Potential已经选了，划掉. deep challenges/ commitment/ component：要形容challenge应该用huge表示挑战难度高，commitment表示承诺或者献身，这里虽然没有达到献身的程度，但是deep commitment表示老师们的殷勤奉献，是符合语境的. component表示组成部分，要形容组成成分多或复杂用various/different/ complicated,而不是deep这种有深度含义的词。deep contests: 有深度的比赛，没有任何感情色彩，和 excellent work不搭，同时这里也没有说有什么竞争比赛.
第三空：Today's announcement is another importantstep forward in improvingaccess to a quality education, a ______ of President Obama's year of action. a后面接可数名词单数, 所以锁定component.从句子上分析，a引导的同位语句子应该是解释前面的句子或中心词.前面的句子是在说announcement is xxx step xxx to a quality education.这里a _____ of 解释的是education,同位语就在名词后面，不会隔太远.这里说education是President Obama 年度计划中的…… (其中一项). Education算是action的组成部分之一，所以是component.
第四空: Later today, Secretary Duncan will lead a roundtablediscussion with principals and school teachersfrom across the country about the (4) of working in high-need schools and how to adopt promising practices for supporting great educators in these schools. roundtable discussion:圆桌会议.上面这个句子太长，把那些杂七杂八的妖艳成分去掉，留主干和空格部分：SD will lead a discussion with sb about the ______ of working in schools. SD就XXX的问题将会组织一次会议. 好了，既然是组织会议，那么会议的内容要么是总结，要么是展望(讨论各种问题解决办法). 所以就是challenges. 或者，高校建设会遇到各种困难，挑战，再看后面谈论到如何运用这些promising practices.
2. 副词(adv)考法：
The U.S. Departmentof Educationis making efforts to ensure that all students have equal access to a quality education. It is ______ important that we provide teachers and principals the support they need to help students.
A. critically (adv) B. properly(adv)
空格前面是系动词is，后面是形容词important，因此空格处需要填入一个副词，用来修饰形容词important. 这里主语是it,所以很有必要去前一句的内容. 上句表达的意思，US教育部正努力保证所有的孩子都有权利接受高质量的教育. 这里没有任何转折词(but, however, while), 说明下句内容应是承接上句，表明为XXX的重要性。因此，这里要填入的词应该能进一步衬托出important的意思. Critically 表示“非常，相当，很”的副词，与important表达“至关重要”的意义, 而properly意思是“合理地，正确地”，和此处文意不符，因此可以排除。同时，it is critically important that句子还是很重要的，写作中出现了就是加分项呀！
