I like this photo very much - it was took two and half years ago, i and my wife looked so young.
Time flies even you can not imaging how fast it is moving, unconsciously.
Today i'm in Shanghai, attending a full staff meeting and had a quick chat with Swati. Swati is an Indian female manager, who is having a short assignment in China.
I knew she was coming to China weeks ago but did not have a chance to meet and talk.
Today, after the meeting, i was thinking about to reach her to talk and wondering if she could still recognize me.
Last time we met was in Mar of 2014 in Singapore office. At that time, she just joined this company and was very fresh and asking a lot of weird questions...
I still remember she sent me an email after i back to home, saying: “ Henry, thank you xxx….i hope we can meet again some day in somewhere…”
3years later, we came across.
“Henry? How are you?”…i turned back, it was Swati…I stood up and responding…"Good, good, long time no see, how are you?…it's been 3years, right?"
Swati:" Yeah…"
Henry: "You moved long way those years…"
Swatis: "Yeah…it was a long way"
Henry: "But, you look like almost the same, 3years go". I know I was using mixed western and eastern ways to making this conversation.
Swatis:"No, put a lot of weight…I think last time we visited Chengdu, you just back from Wedding, right? I came with Komiko, Venice…"
Henry:"Right…"
……
It's kind of surprise to see an old friend here and recalling old memories.
However, in her eyes, i can interpret she is not that young 3years ago, it's full of maturity and kind of tiredness.
And for me, it reminds me i'm getting older and older, but nothing changed too much, I'm still the same position...
Just now, i'm moving the photos, actually baby's photos, from iPhone to Mac, i realized that my baby been grown up a lot. From a fresh flesh, can not move by herself, to now can walk and performing good interactions with us. It's been 1year, which wife and Mom sacrificed a lot, and me probably also the same.
Sometimes, i really feel so so tired but very happy to see baby is heathy and happy.
Happened to see below photo, which i immediately to be grateful in my heart:
- I and my wife are both young, healthy and smiling
- It not matters we are walking on the country road
- It not matter we are not rich person
- It not matter ……
- It matters WE ARE TOGETHER
I hope i can change something to provide better support to my family in next 5-10years and hopefully we still find time to BE TOGETHER.
