John had very good day and put his wallet containing $3,000 into the microwave oven for safekeeping.

Then he and Jane went horse-riding. When they got home, Jane cooked their dinner in the microwave oven and without realizing it, cooked her fiancé's wallet as well. Imagine their dismay when they found a beautifully-cooked wallet and notes turned to ash!John went to see his bank manager who sent the remains of wallet and the money

to the special department of the Bank of England in Newcastle:the Mutilate Ladies!

They examined the remains and John got all his money back.

'So long as there's something to identify, we will give people their money back,' said a spokeswoman for the Bank.

'Last year, we paid $1.5m on 21,000 claims.'

练习感悟:

今天课文是昨天的后半段,不难,但是读了很多遍,每一遍都会听到自己读的问题。今天群里的糖同学点评了录音,说到了要注意停顿这件事。赶时间的问题又显现出来了,另外,对节奏没有感觉真的是挺严重的问题。看到群里有同学说采用了多听少看的方式来读课文,有效果。那么节奏问题有可能是原声听的不够多,模仿得不到位。加油吧!
