Fun to learn English

Good Afternoon everyone!

“The English language is like a construction project, it is a work in progress.”

In the past years, I was totally confused on how to communicate effectively with my supervisor regarding the daily work on the site. As you know, It’s inevitable to talk to foreigners, especially when we go and stay in other counties. In my observation, the reason I couldn’t speak in English to anyone is the lack of confidence and courage to deliver my thoughts correctly.

But now, I am standing here in front of you to give a speech with more confidence in vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking and grammar. I want to thank my company and teachers for all the knowledge they impart on me.

What impressed me the most is my teacher(Ms. Cai) as she speaks with a smile on her face together with a graceful voice from the start. Although, I didn’t absorb much in the beginning, the charm of English language attracted me deeply and gave me lots of confidence, inspiration and hope that one day I will be able to speak English fluently using the correct sentence structure.

Have you ever thought “Why do we need to learn English?” As far as I’m concerned, the purpose of learning English is not only about grammar or making better sentences but it is also about chances to speak up and be heard by others.

Before I end this, I want everyone to remember that the road in learning English might be challenging, but it is not a reason to give up. The word “difficult” doesn’t mean “impossible”, it simply means that we have to work harder. Never give up because great things take time. Have faith  and believe that you can. Yes, we can.
