Ice Breaker- A gamer

Do you have any experience to be treated differently just because you want to try something?  

I have been through these feelings for the whole time as a student and as a girl.

In 2018, the last year of postgraduate study and I have no idea about my career path. So open Google and search: " How to find an ideal job for my entire life?"

As a gamer for more than 18 years, all I really want is to submit my report at due time and then be free to play the games. I decided to find a game-relaed job and according to Google it is well-paid work with a monthly paid over 10k RMB.
I was so excited about my decision and told my father. However, they said I must be crazy and asked me to get a job related to my major---- accounting and business analytics, which is really boring.

Well, my father is a traditional Chinese parent. It's ok he doesn't buy it.

Then, I decide to talk to someone in my age, one of my best friends Lynn, a girl working in the counting industry and used helped me with my career path.

Hey, Lynn I just made a decision about my future job and I gonna work in the gaming industry. How amazing it is!

Sweetie, I see what do you mean and just a few questions. Have you done any research about this job? What are the top companies in this industry? What is the average wage? What is the future trend? You need a long-term plan!

Alright, you just confused me more. 

Maybe I should talk to someone we have more in common.  Then I turn to my other friends. These guys are my teammates in the game and we all are business students. 

Well, the truth is not. All of them are looking for a job in the financial industry or the Big 4 companies. They said they don't want to take a risk of their career path. 

Ladies and gentlemen have ever had a moment. You feel so isolated from others. Just because you want to try something new. At that moment, I was so confused and start to question myself.

Good news come, I got an opportunity for an internship in the gaming industry and my job is Financial planning and analysis assistant, which is 100% match my major. But I have to take the interview in Shanghai. Without any hesitation,  I bought the ticket and started to pack my luggage. Luckily, I got it and then this internship also allow me to start a new journey in the gaming industry.

Life is a game with a map covered by fog. Sometimes, you need to explore it by yourself and then you gonna find that the only impossible journey in your game is the one you never start it.
