    *go down in history
*a great beacon light of hope

  • we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.
America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."
  • 整篇的排比非常多,Now is the time... 后面有I have a dream...还有with this faith...
*Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. quicksands 和 solid rock 对照,流沙和磐石
*And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. There will be neither...nor...句式。
*have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.又是前后对照,be tied up with, be inextricably bound to.

  • crooked place /krʊkɪd/
