It was 4 years ago when I came to Sydney last time. Memories are mostly faded. All I remembered was visiting Macquarie University and saw luna park on the ferry.

Day 1: 11 Oct 2018.Rain.

Xiong arrived about 9.50am so I went out of the hotel to wait for him near Liverpool St. We then went back to the hotel and checked out and stored our luggage in the hotel. Good free luggage storage service.

By the time all these finished, I was starving. I couldnt wait to get some food so we just went in a cafe called Slim Cafe to grab a bite. Menu was interesting, they had brunch and Dim Sum. Must be hard to survive to have a single choice. I ordered something different but not so healthy - Kale fries. Tasted ok, not sure if it because I was hungry.

We then headed to Birkenhead Point. It's a shopping mall with lots of outlet stores. We had to catch bus to get there. This time the whole image of Sydney changed again. Seeing the crawed on the street was a mixed feeling. I liked looking at different faces and the rush but i didn't quite enjoy the smell.

On the train

I bought 3 tops and 1 pair of pants from the Portman store, such a good price, only $124 for all of them. Xiong bough his first pair of Nike shoes costed $130 and he regretted rest of the day (maybe restof the month) Men! What can I say (rolling eyes)

After all that, we were hungry again. So we hopped on the bus and then train to go to Rockdale for Bangladesh food. The cleaning standard worried me but the price was really cheap. 5 dishes plus 2 neans only costed $57. Finally I get to pay this time. He's been paying all day and that makes me feel really bad. That was our lunch and dinner. Headed back to Rydges to pick up the luggage. And that was around 6pm.

It was raining and my big luggage wasnt helping. Xiong decided to take an Uber (costed $53) to go to Travelodge Mascot.

After settling down in the hotel, I wanted to get some fruit. Xiong and I went to Woolworth Mascot. Took about 10 mins. We borrowed an umbrella from the hotel. I thought it was really romantic!

Day 1 end~

Day 2: Haymarket, Paddy's market, Chinatown and Queen Victoria Building. Partly rainy.

Headed to Haymarket around 10am when we got up in the morning.

Found this bakery shop in the shopping centre. Lots of popular bread varieties.

After exploring for another 2 hours, we decided to have some lunch and that was around 2pm.

孟非的小面 was one of the restaurants in Haymarket Level 3. I had no question but to try it out. Two of us ordered 5 dishes and I was so full when I finished. Overall, food was good. Rating: 8/10

Downstairs of Haymarket was the Paddy's market. Before I left Haymarket, I bought a small present for Laura.

The windmille can play music. Very cool.

Spent a couple of hours in Paddy's market and bought two pairs of sunglasses for ourselves. Funky!

Chinatown was just opposite of Paddy's market. Lots of small shops, korean cosmatic shops, Chinese restaurants etc.
