Some people believe that the government should spend more money putting in more works of art like paintings and statues in cities to make them better places to live in.

On the one hand, art has become an inseparable part of our life, as it acts as a channel to satisfy our spiritual pursuits and a respite from daily grind. Those cities stripped of works of art strike people as  a dreary appearance, while their counterparts investing in public arts provide city  dwellers with a spectacular spot to live in. For instance, workers passing by these statues or paintings are inclined to feel refreshed as well as children who can gain insight into history and culture from these works of art. Not only can such cities appeal to local residents, but tempt tourists and professional artists the world over, which may give the economy a boost.
