3) The third level of reading: analytical reading 阅读第三层次：分析阅读

分析阅读的第一阶段要做到如下4点：

1. classify the book according to kind and subject matter 根据书名主题和大致内容进行归类， 它属于你的内心书库里面哪一种？功能性的？理论性的？工具书？教科书？

2. state what the whole book is about with the utmost brevity 用最简单的话总结这本书讲什么

3. Enumerate its major parts in their order and relation, and outline these parts as you have outline the whole 划出各个部分章节的关系(最好用mindmap或者鱼骨图)

4. Define the problem the author is trying to solve 找出作者想要通过这本书解决什么问题，比如达尔文的《物种起源》，他要解决什么问题？

第一阶段其实就是了解梗概，为下一个阶段与作者进行深度沟通打好基础。
