1. Here's some sentence of Atomic Habits.

(Which I feel benefited, and I wish it can be helpful to you as well)

  • We are more likely to notice cues that stand out.
  • When the cues that spark a habit are subtle or hidden, they are easy to ignore.
  • Making a better decision is easy and natural when the cues for good habits are right in front of you.

That's saying if we put some things correlated with our desired good habits around us, make the things obvious enough, it may become easier and more inadvertent for us to form the habits.

  • Most people live in a world others have created for them. But you can alter the spaces where you live and work to increase your exposure to positive cues and reduce your exposure to negative ones.

ok, let me re-design my living environment and see what will happen a week later.

2. Forming 1st small habit:

drinking more water(I'm that kind of person who never spontaneously drinks a glass of water in the whole day)

3. Re-design my living environment:

I put a chair next to the door of my room and put a glass of hot water on the chair.
Since I think it's the special place I passed by most frequently every day.

I went to another place for two days(the 7th day and the 8th day), because of the daily living environment changed, the water drinking frequency was not recorded. But actually, I still drink 1~3 times every half-day.

See, maybe I have already formed a water drinking habit. (03/12 updated)

5. recently tracking(03/26 updated):

Since I have completed a one-week drinking experiment and performed not bad, I thought the habit might have been formed. While recently I found myself a little bit return to the previous state. The reasons may be:

  • For some reason, I moved to another desk working and studying, which caused the seldom getting in and out of my room, so the time I see my drinking cup was reduced. ("cue" disappears, the chance to take certain action disappear.)

So now I decided to put the drinking cup nearby and make drinking water a long-lasting habit, then a natural habit.
