Chapter 41 of Tao Te Ching

Excellent scholars, after knowing Tao, will diligently implement it in action.  Good scholars, after knowing Tao, will partially remember and lose it. Inferior scholars, after knowing Tao, will laugh at it. Those Tao which has not been ridiculed is not enough to be called Tao. Therefore, there is a saying: the bright way seems obscure, the progressive way seems to retreat, the flat road seems to be rough, noble Te is similar to deep valley, broad Te seems insufficient. Accumulating Te seems to be stealing. The pure one seems to be tainted, the real quality seems to be fake. The big square has no edge, the great masterpiece is made late, the big sound has small voice, the large image has no shape. Tao is hidden and cannot be defined. Only Tao can support and accomplish things.
