C46115 Day1 New Hampshire Towns Turn Out Tiny-Home Dwellers

Residents of Walden Eco Village, a tiny-house community in New Hampshire was ordered eviction on December 15th due to their diminutive dwellings’ building code violations. Some residents are now suing the villager’s owner for renting out homes that were not up to code. The building code was introduced by state legislators last year to solve the Catch-22 that there had been no building code for tiny houses so residents had to get an occupancy permit but they couldn’t get the occupancy permit for a home that did not comply with the building code. Instead of benefit from the unaffordable standard, many tiny-house residents will end up to be houseless.
