翻不利索的红楼梦

        虽然中文仅够说话，英文连话都说不利索，文学造诣无，但总有些事，明知不自量力，也想试试。

        在一个脑袋被门夹了驴踢了砖砸了虫咬了的夜晚，突发奇想，想要将红楼梦中的开篇语结尾语和经典对联翻译成英文看看，姑且是门夹驴踢砖砸虫咬后的癔症发作，诸君且看且嘻嘻。

红楼梦·引子

开辟鸿蒙，谁为情种？都只为风月情浓。趁着这奈何天、伤怀日、寂寥时，试遣愚衷。因此上，演出这怀金悼玉的红楼梦。

From the very ancient times to nowadays, nobody is the born great lover until the deepest love experience made him one. In such a day full of feeling of helpless, sorrowful and lonely, I do want to write down my innermost emotion, which resulted in this complex humanistic-romance novel named "The dream of the red chamber".

红楼梦·开篇诗

满纸荒唐言，一把辛酸泪。都云作者痴，谁解其中味。

It's the endless miserable tears which accompany  with numerous unintelligible words writing by the author. Can anyone really comprehend the author without sneering at his infatutation?

红楼梦·结尾诗

说到辛酸处，荒唐愈可悲。由来同一梦，休笑世人痴！

Grief and sadness go with assurd. We all yearn for the same true love, how can we tease others' persistence and infatutation?

红楼梦·收尾·飞鸟各投林

为官的，家业凋零。富贵的，金银散尽。有恩的，死里逃生。无情的，分明报应。欠命的，命已还。欠泪的，泪已尽。冤冤相报实非轻，分离聚合皆前定。欲知命短问前生，老来富贵也真侥幸。看破的，遁入空门。痴迷的，枉送了性命。好一似食尽鸟投林，落了片白茫茫大地真干净！

Own way

The politicians lost their political future, the wealthy lost all their wealth. Those help others with mercy escaped from disasters, those merciless ones were punished by retribution. Who owe life to others paid with life, who make others cry cried tears dry. The cycle of reprisal and retaliation is really a heavy life burden, for all the separation and reunion are predestined. This life is doomed by the consequence of previous life. Being rich and powerful in aged life is just a fluke. The disillusioned ones faded into buddhism, the obsessive ones lost their lives in vain. The life we experienced is just like the bare earth with nothing left, as the birds turning back into the woods after feeding.

Take the fake as true, the true will be regarded fake. Take nothing as something, then something will become nothing.

智通寺门联：身后有余忘缩手，眼前无路想回头

Having insatiable appetite to wealth, even  have money to burn. Want to go back to the past, even there is no way to go.

宁府上房联：世事洞明皆学问，人情练达即文章

It's an art to keeping penetrative to surroundings. Familiarity with social codes is a big knowledge.
